vSphere 6.7 Hands-on Lab

I’m excited to announce the release of the What’s New in vSphere 6.7 Hands-on Lab (HOL-SDC-1911-01)!  This lab goes over all the new features and has videos or hands-on walk-throughs detailing implementation of some of these new features.  Feel free to explore the newly updated HTML 5 vSphere Client alongside vSphere 6.7’s new features in a safe, sandbox environment.

This lab will go over the four pillars of the vSphere 6.7 release:

  1. Simple and Efficient Management at Scale
  2. Comprehensive Built-in Security
  3. Universal Application Platform
  4. Seamless Hybrid Cloud

The lab consists of two vCenters using Enhanced Linked Mode with Embedded PSCs; there is no longer a need for a shared Platform Service Controller to utilize Enhanced Linked Mode!  As part of this lab, you will migrate VMs from one vCenter to another seamlessly through the UI.  This lab environment includes a Hytrust KeyControl Key Management Server to demonstrate some of the new security features.  It also has the latest releases of vRealize Operations Manager (6.7) and vRealize Log Insight (4.6), which are not part of this intro lab, but are available to the environment.

(Log in information for all components in the lab are located on the desktop of the control VM in the readme.txt.)

Also of note, we will be releasing more focused labs in the coming weeks that will take a deeper dive into the features based on areas of interest, so stay tuned. All of these new hands-on labs will run on vSphere 6.7!

Enjoy the What’s New in vSphere 6.7 Hands-on Lab!  Comments and feedback are always welcome.
