Today, I am delighted to announce the general availability of VMware vRealize Automation 8.0, the latest release of our industry-leading hybrid cloud automation platform.

We announced vRealize Automation 8.0 at VMworld US 2019 in San Francisco. Sharing the same modern container-based architecture with the SaaS-based VMware vRealize Automation Cloud, this release of vRealize Automation also includes the latest versions of VMware vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager 8.0 and VMware vRealize Orchestrator 8.0. With a new Easy Installer component, we have dramatically simplified the installation/configuration process and experience. You can learn more here.

We are seeing our customers use vRealize Automation along 4 key strategic use cases:

  • Self Service Hybrid Cloud
  • Multicloud Automation with Governance
  • Service Delivery with DevOps
  • Kubernetes Workload Management

At VMworld US 2019, we had IHS Markit discuss how they’re using vRealize Automation with VMware NSX Data Center to implement a network automation solution for their cloud environment. You can learn more here.

We are also extending the value of automation to the DevOps and SRE audiences within our customers. With vRealize Automation 8.0 Enterprise Edition, which now includes the VMware Code Stream component, we deliver Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), application and infrastructure pipeline automation, continuous innovation/continuous delivery (CI/CD) capabilities, and Kubernetes workload management.
